Join the Platform now!
The FoodCoP project is proud to announce the official launch of its digital platform, a collaborative space designed to empower those working to build more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems across Europe’s rural regions.
Supported by the Horizon Europe programme, the platform represents a key step in FoodCoP’s mission to turn ideas into action, offering rural actors the tools and connections they need to implement circular bioeconomy strategies and share successful approaches.
A Practical Space for Community-Driven Change
Rural areas are rich in innovation, but often lack access to the resources, networks, and visibility needed to scale their efforts. The FoodCoP platform aims to close this gap by offering:
-
A curated knowledge library covering rural development, food systems, circular bioeconomy, and relevant EU projects
-
An open forum to share insights, ask questions, and co-develop solutions
-
A member directory to foster peer connections across Europe
-
Practical tools and downloadable materials for everyday use
-
An events calendar to highlight local and international opportunities
This one-stop platform brings together essential elements for collaboration, helping stakeholders learn from one another and drive impact across regions and sectors.
Open to All Rural Innovators
From local authorities and entrepreneurs to researchers, cluster managers, and community organisations, the platform welcomes everyone involved in shaping sustainable rural futures. It also complements EU-wide initiatives like the Startup Village Forum and the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative, reinforcing Europe’s commitment to territorial cohesion and innovation.
Looking Ahead: A Growing Community of Practice
FoodCoP’s digital platform will evolve based on community feedback, ensuring it remains a responsive and inclusive tool. Its long-term vision is to become Europe’s go-to resource for rural food system transformation — a dynamic environment where cooperation and knowledge-sharing fuel positive change.
The platform is now accessible at www.platform-foodcop.eu. Basic information is available to all users, while registration (free of charge) offers full access to a growing European community of practice.
This project is funded by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) under Horizon Europe programme 2021–2027.
