About the Project
Meet VEGSKIN GROUP, founded in 2022, which supports the transformation of biomass and co-products into high-value bio-based materials. Initially developed through Vegskin, a plant-based alternative to leather made from banana co-products, the company has expanded its approach with Vegagri, operating from ideation to proof of concept: feasibility studies, material formulation, prototyping, and valorisation strategy.
VEGSKIN’s work contributes to the circular bioeconomy by transforming underutilised biomass and co-products into high-value bio-based materials, enabling entirely new industrial value chains.
Within the Beauvaisis Startup Village ecosystem, VEGSKIN works through Vegagri to collaborate with startups, research centres, and industrial partners to co-develop new material solutions.
Rooted in the Beauvaisis, VEGSKIN creates strong local impact by valorising regional biomass, reducing waste streams, and supporting the emergence of sustainable, bio-based industries.
