About the Project
Meet Kmetija Malerič, a family-run organic farm from Zajčji vrh near Črnomelj in Bela krajina, established in 2022. The farm focuses on sustainable, self-sufficient production and processing of cereals and meat, combining traditional farming knowledge with modern approaches to quality, traceability and local food supply.
Working from field to table, the farm grows and processes grains such as spelt, wheat, rye and buckwheat into flours, flakes, granola and other products, while also offering meat and meat products from its own animals — guided by the slogan “Ker vem, kaj jem” (Because I know what I eat).
Kmetija Malerič contributes to the circular bioeconomy by combining organic farming, its own raw materials and on-farm processing into value-added food products, keeping the full cycle of growing, milling and processing on the farm.
